It's starting to come together.

My mom came over and the guys went to the movies. So, we got to sew. I think I might be making a little blanket. I'm having so much fun! I love being able to make something and actually see progress and see that I might be making something. It's not perfect by any means, but it is my FIRST project. WOW! Did I really just say that? I guess I'm a little proud of myself!

The sashing looks great! You are doing very well. I love the serious business look you have at the machine, but then my fave is the Happy smiles I see while your sewing and showing off all your work!! Way to go!! Now on to batting and backing! Then quilting and binding!!

okay, you right, I did indeed come over, but I didn't sew a stitch....I did show you my way of using the rulers to square things up, but I certainly didn't do any sewing....and, I might add it seemed like the hardest thing for you to do was to decide where each square should go - and I didn't help you decide that either. Instead, KC and I sat on the sofa, holding hands, watching The Monster movie! I gave you some hints, but the bottom line is that your doing well to watch video's and read your books, and your doing just fine!

Great job A!! Nothing like your first project to get you hooked. It looks wonderful...9 patch blocks are one of my favorites.
